When the COVID pandemic altered our world, The Museum of Teaching and Learning realized that some things had to change. Traveling exhibitions went into storage; volunteers, interns, and independent contractors switched to working from home; and MOTAL meetings went to Zoom. To accomplish our mission, we also began to write and publish regular email blast articles.

For two years now, we’ve provided an intriguing, informative, and trustworthy story in your inbox every Tuesday and Friday morning. You told us you loved reading our pieces, and the word got out. Our list of subscribers grew to 1,000. If you scroll below you will see that we reach an astounding diversity of subscribers.

Excellent! Very interesting! I really enjoy reading
MOTAL's presentations. Thanks!

Thank you for this interesting information.
I certainly enjoyed reading it.

SCHEDULE CHANGE
Now, as COVID enters a calmer phase, change is in the wind for MOTAL. Feature articles will arrive in inboxes one day a week, on FRIDAYS. Why? The museum’s attentions must return to sending out traveling exhibitions to new venues throughout California and the West.

And now, with $500,000 in hand, MOTAL must pick up where we left off in the development of our new MOBILE EXHIBITION. (Thank you, State of California). The “Ready-to-Roll Premiere” will occur in early summer 2023. The exhibition’s working title: Your Baby’s Amazing Brain, and it will be AWESOME, with meaningful take-home ideas supported by engaging, interactive technology. Thanks to generous partner institutions, the mobile exhibition will open its doors at an impressive sequence of museums, colleges, community centers, malls, courthouses, city halls—and more. The exhibition will welcome people of all ages, but the messaging will be directed to parents, and all those individuals who care for, and care about, young children from birth to age five.
