MOTAL Exhibition Opening!: The Public is Invited

The Public is Invited


Who: People of all ages in and around Orange County
What: Opening of A Class Action: The Grassroots Struggle for School Desegregation in California This award-winning MOTAL exhibition tells the story of five families who fought school segregation through the groundbreaking Mendez et al. v. Westminster School District et al.

When: On Tuesday, September 27 from 6:00 to 8:00


Where: At Santiago Canyon College in Orange, CA (see map below)
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be outside on Strenger Plaza in front of the Lorenzo Ramirez Library.


Why: To kick off a three-month engagement, hosted by SCC in partnership with the Orange Unified School District. The ceremony will be followed by refreshments and exhibition visits inside the library.


Students of all ages will be able to experience the amazing story of A Class Action.

    which is north of Valencia Avenue,
    just around the corner from the Fullerton School District office.

    You Can Visit A Class Action Exhibition
    Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays
    10AM - 4:00PM
    Every Third Saturday
    9:00AM - 3:00PM

    The exhibition tells the story of the influential court case, Mendez et al. v Westminster School District et al. Our award-winning exhibition’s full title is A Class Action: The Grassroots Struggle for School Desegregation in California. This will be its seventeenth venue.​
