MOTAL has sent letters to the new leader of the Smithsonian Institutions, Secretary Clough, in order to request that he consider TEACHING and LEARNING as a new focus. It would be an important next step. To date, our esteemed national cultural institution has museums that honors 19 other themes, and the American History Museum that covers at least 28 topics other than Education.
