Junior docents are students, usually high school juniors or older, who earn Service Learning credits by volunteering to give tours. As specially trained volunteers, the junior docents provide engaging tours of the exhibit for elementary school children and other museum guests.
These individuals also serve as ambassadors to the community by giving presentations about the exhibits outside of the museum. This valuable experience helps participants develop mature presentation skills, leadership abilities, and historical knowledge.
